Cavity wall insulation underway at Barry Comprehensive School

Barry Comprehensive School is the first school in the Vale of Glamorgan to take advantage of financial support from the Carbon Trust. The trust helps organisations to lower energy use and has enabled the school to have cavity wall insulation in all of the required areas of the building.

It is expected to reduce the school's energy bills by around £6,000 per year.

This major work has been carried out at the same time as other planned maintenance by the Vale L.E.A. This includes new gymnasium windows, rewiring in several parts of the school, new roofing over the hall and multi-gym areas and a new toilet block.
