On Friday 9th October Barry Comprehensive School became host to almost 300 year six pupils for an action-packed day to introduce the boys to the school
The Science department took over the school hall with a large scale experiment on transport that featured hovercraft and a hot air balloon and the occasional explosion.
The Art department ran a very innovative project producing colourful masks and ties.
In terms of physical skills, pupils were spoilt for choice. : The Drama studio became a street dancing venue, whilst the Sports Hall offered climbing and fencing.
There was also plenty of music on offer. Pupils were treated to a rock workshop in the Learning Resource Centre and drumming in the Music department whilst the Canteen resounded to the sounds of Samba.
Feedback from the students judged the day to be a fantastic success. Thanks to everyone involved for contributing to a great day.
