Year 7 Pupil Progress Presentation Evening

Barry Comprehensive School’s Year 7 pupils welcomed their parents/guardians and families to the annual ‘Pupil Progress Presentation Evening' last week.

During the evening, boys made presentations about their learning to demonstrate the progress that they have made since joining the school in September.

Parental involvement in learning is vital in ensuring pupils achieve at their highest level. As part of this school/home partnership, parents were asked to note targets for improvement in key areas and support materials were provided to help.

The Learning Support department was particularly dynamic, as several pupils chose music as an area they felt they had most improved in. Parents enjoyed hearing their sons play and talking about their improvements in music.

Feedback about the evening was collected from parents in the form of a Parental Questionnaire. A total of 110 questionnaires were returned at the end of the evening and 28 parents took the time to write in the ‘Any comments’ section. Results of the questionnaire were overwhelmingly positive and the document can be read or downloaded from the link opposite.
